Job opening - MWF 2.5s teacher (part-time)
This part-time position requires a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 - 2:30 time commitment. Teachers working with the 2.5 age level work in teaching teams as co-teachers. The 2.5 age level serves children who turn two years of age by March 1 and has a ratio of 2:10.
Applicants with an associate degree (minimum of 60 hours of college credit) or higher are preferred. This position requires teamwork and the knowledge and application of early childhood best practices in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and lesson planning.
Applicants with three years of experience working within the context of early childhood are a plus. A degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related field are preferred. The Weekday School values a positive and collaborative work ethic. Personal qualities of compassion, patience and respect for children, families and colleagues are essential.
