The purpose of The Weekday School at UPUMC is to build a strong, Christian foundation of love and learning in every child through nurturing and challenging them appropriately in all developmental areas.

Vision

Curriculum

The goal of The Weekday School curriculum is to provide each child with meaningful learning opportunities to attain age-appropriate skills. The WDS curriculum is based on a thematic framework. Here, learning materials and activities are organized around specific age-appropriate units. Play is a central component of The WDS curriculum and is woven throughout each thematic unit. Through play, children attach meaning to the thematic learning experiences provided within our classroom, while also acquiring developmental skills.

  • Toddler 2 (23-29 mo. as of 9/1) M/W or T/TH or F

  • 3s (3 on/before 9/1) M/W/F or T/TH or M-F
  • 4s (4 on/before 9/1) M/W/F or M-F
  • Kindergarten (5 on/before 9/1) M-F

School Hours

  • Monday, 9 a.m. - Noon
  • Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Office Hours

  • Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Registration Process

2024-2025 school year
Thank you for your interest in The Weekday School at UPUMC (WDS).
We have openings in Toddler 2 (F), 4s and Kindergarten.
The application process consists of the following:

Tour the WDS
Touring the WDS is encouraged. Please call 214-361-4626 to schedule.

Submit an Application
Applications received between October 1, 2023 and January 5, 2024 by 3:00pm, have the same value in our registration process. Applications received after 3:00pm on January 5 will be time stamped and processed in the order received. Preference will be given to families with currently enrolled children and families who have been members at UPUMC for six months or longer.

Pay application fee
To complete the application process, a non-refundable fee of $75 is required. This fee will be paid online while submitting the application.
